WE SEEK TO FILL TWO POSTS:
POST 1: Team Lead & Senior Energy specialist – approx. 25 person-months input (with approx. 90% in Ukraine)
Required Qualifications
- Preferably an energy-related, master’s level University degree, or equivalent
- Superior management, coordination and leadership skills;
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken;
- Knowledge of at least Russian, or Ukrainian, is an advantage
- At least 12 years of experience in energy sector
- Relevant experience in Ukraine is an advantage
- At least 5 years of practical experience in transposition or implementation of EU acquis in energy efficiency and/or Energy Community Treaty countries;
- At least 3 years of practical experience in the area of energy policy and/or strategy development
- Proven experience as a team leader/project manager in at least one technical assistance (TA) project in at least one EU-funded or international donor funded project with at least 24 months input, with the budget of at least than 0.5 million EURO;
- Proven experience of working with the EU legislation in the field of renewable energy resources will be an asset.
POST 2: Senior Energy Savings Expert – approx. 25 person-months input (with approx. 90% in Ukraine)
Required Qualifications
- University degree (with at least a Master's qualification level or its equivalent), preferably in energy efficiency
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken
- Knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian would be an advantage
- Minimum 10 years of general professional experience in the energy efficiency sector
- Relevant experience in Ukraine would be an asset
- At least 5 years of practical experience in the process of transposition and/or implementation of the provisions of the EU acquis, in the area of energy efficiency and renewable energy in EU and/or EnCT countries, especially the Dir 2012/27/EU
- At least 3 years of practical experience related to the field of energy efficiency
- Proven experience in at least one technical assistance project in at least one EU-funded or international donor funded project, with a minimum 24 months input
- Experience with working on the improvement of energy efficiency in buildings
- Working experience with the operation of energy systems of former Soviet countries and working experience on the optimization of heat supply will be preferred.
