Summary duties
- Advise the authorities at the highest level, on power sector development, and especially access to energy
- Provide analysis and recommendations to the funding platform
- Assist government counterparts in facilitating financing and delivery of its sector plans
- Coordinate closely with the advisory team in the country on matters
- Represent the the energy funding platform And support building relationships with donors and other stakeholders
Experience
- Experience in the energy sector/industry with an integral view of linked value chains, including regional and global expertise, including in oil, gas, mining , chemical sector, hydrogen development and th energy transition
- Robust energy access solutions expertise (minigrids and domestic solar policy, planning, regulatory and finance)
- Evident experience to structure, design, execute and/or monitor offgrid energy market mechanisms/-auctioning
- Experienced in climate topics, eg hydrogen, carbon capture, climate finance, carbon markets, cross-boarder adjustment mechanisms, greening industry, etc
- Strong articulation of technical topics
- Robust multi-stakeholder coordination capacities on view of sector strategy needs
- Exceptional political sensitivity in multidimensional environments
- Exceptional collaboration skills
- Fluency and work experience in Portuguese a must
